Visit Tangalooma Wrecks Moreton Island
The Tangalooma Wrecks are located on the western side of Moreton Island near Brisbane, Queensland. At this site, fifteen ships have been deliberately sunk, in order to protect small vessels and to establish a marine spectacular. The ships were sunk between 1963 and 1984, very close to the shore line.
You will find lots of coral formations and over 200 species of fish as you snorkel or scuba dive amongst these wrecks.
Often people see turtles, dolphins, wobbegongs and dugongs. The sunsets here are spectacular. Watch the sun set in the afternoon behind the wrecks on the otherside of the bay.
